William Eggleston
William Eggleston Joseph, Jr. is an American photographer who was born in the Mississippi Delta. His pictures are known to have very bright and vivid colours, precise composition and evocative allure. His intention was to create colourful pictures to help establish colour photography in the late 20th century as a legitimate artistic medium. In every photograph, it is challenging to find a focal point since the artist puts the focus on every object. We can also notice the imposing presence of the colour red. Most of William Eggleston's pictures were taken in the southern United States.

Steve McCurry
Steve McCurry is an American photographer who was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is known for his evocative colour photographs that show both joy and struggles. In his pictures, McCurry makes the eyes of the subject the focal point. Thereby, we can clearly see their emotions. His photographs have bright colours and earth tones. He documented his travelling journey through photography and visited many refugee camps, war zones, burning oil fields etc. The artist wishes to focus on the human consequences of the war by showing the faces of the victims.
