Artist Research ~ Claude Cahun Cahun is a french photographer who is known for his self-portraits which assume a variety of personae. His work is both political and personal. It often undermines traditional concepts of static gender roles.  “Masculine? Feminine? It depends on the situation. Neuter is the only gender that always suits me.” He is remembered for his highly staged self-portraits. In the 1920s, he produced an astonishing number of self-portraits in various guises such as angel, japanese puppet and aviator. This artist incorporates the visual aesthetics of surrealism in his art.  1. Motion 2. Self-portraits For the self-portrait assignment, I tried to play with the lighting, reflections and the motion. I incorporated different props in the pictures to create a variety of different pictures.

William Eggleston William Eggleston Joseph, Jr. is an American photographer who was born in the Mississippi Delta. His pictures are known to have very bright and vivid colours, precise composition and evocative allure. His intention was to create colourful pictures to help establish colour photography in the late 20th century as a legitimate artistic medium. In every photograph, it is challenging to find a focal point since the artist puts the focus on every object. We can also notice the imposing presence of the colour red. Most of William Eggleston's pictures were taken in the southern United States.  ~ Steve McCurry Steve McCurry is an American photographer who was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is known for his evocative colour photographs that show both joy and struggles. In his pictures, McCurry makes the eyes of the subject the focal point.
